The initial situation.

For bavius technologie gmbh, one thing was clear: anyone who continuously develops their machines must not make any compromises when it comes to safety. The company was therefore looking for a solution for comprehensive machine safety that was as efficient as it was economical.

The focus was on a combined safety switching device that reliably monitors three independent safety circuits and simultaneously enables safe speed monitoring.

A solution was required that would meet several requirements at the same time:

From the initial inquiry to commissioning, the collaboration was characterized by direct communication, technical expertise and genuine commitment. Even in the early project phase, we at DINA Elektronik GmbH provided support during the planning and initial tests, accompanied the commissioning on site with technical expertise and were also on hand as a reliable sparring partner during the implementation phase. This agility paid off during the project phase in particular: initial tests ran smoothly and adjustments could be implemented quickly, always with direct communication between the teams.

The result of the intensive collaboration was the SAFEONE DS, an innovative safety solution that is specially tailored to the requirements of bavius technologie gmbh. The newly developed device combines safe standstill and speed monitoring in a compact system and impresses with its high level of flexibility in use. Thanks to the intuitive software, the system can be easily configured and adapted to different spindle types - a clear advantage with regard to the versatility of the bavius machine range.

The integrated diagnostic functions, which can be used to detect wiring and hardware faults quickly and reliably, are particularly noteworthy. The solution fits seamlessly into existing control concepts and also offers a future-proof basis for further applications, such as sensorless speed monitoring as part of future risk assessments. The SAFEONE DS thus symbolizes a smart, practice-oriented answer to complex safety requirements in mechanical engineering.
